These Terms of Service govern your use of the Pawatics platform as a pet owner, adopter, or general user. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you are a shelter, rescue organization, or pet business please review our Partner Agreement at pawatics.com/terms/shelters.
By accessing or using Pawatics you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have parental consent if between 13 and 17 years of age. Users under 13 are not permitted to use Pawatics. By using the platform you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission. Pawatics reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
When you create a pet profile on Pawatics you retain ownership of your pet's data. You grant Pawatics a limited license to use this data to provide the platform services including displaying your pet's profile to you and enabling features such as care reminders and health record storage. Pawatics does not sell your pet's data to third parties. If your pet's profile was created through an adoption facilitated by a shelter partner the shelter may have provided initial profile data which becomes yours upon account activation.
Pet profiles created through Pawatics adoption integrations include health records, vaccination history, and behavioral notes provided by the adopting shelter. Pawatics presents this information as provided and makes no warranty as to its accuracy or completeness. Always verify your pet's health information with a licensed veterinarian.
By providing your phone number and agreeing to these Terms you consent to receive SMS messages from Pawatics including but not limited to: adoption confirmations and invitations, pet care reminders, vaccine due date alerts, lost pet alerts in your area, and platform updates and announcements.
Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may opt out of push notifications through your device settings. Opting out of SMS does not delete your account or pet profile.
All SMS messages are sent in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Messages are sent between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM in your local timezone only.

Pawatics reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts of repeat violators.
The lost pet alert feature allows you to notify nearby Pawatics users when your pet is missing. You agree to:
Pawatics is not responsible for the outcome of lost pet searches. The lost pet alert system is provided as a community service only. Pawatics does not guarantee that lost pets will be found and is not liable for any harm arising from use of this feature.
Pawatics may display listings for third party pet care providers including veterinarians, groomers, trainers, boarders, and other businesses. These listings are provided for informational purposes only. Pawatics does not endorse any specific provider and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any third party services. Any transaction you enter into with a third party provider is solely between you and that provider. Pawatics is not a party to such transactions and accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of third party services.
Pawatics may contain links to third party websites and content including news articles and external resources. Pawatics is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of external websites. Clicking external links is at your own risk. Pawatics does not scan external websites for viruses, malware, or harmful content. We recommend maintaining up-to-date security software on all devices. To report a suspicious link please email admin@pawatics.com with the subject line Malicious Link Report.
By posting content on Pawatics including photos, posts, and comments you grant Pawatics a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform. You retain full ownership of your content. You represent that you have the right to post any content you submit and that it does not violate the rights of any third party. Pawatics reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using Pawatics you agree to our Privacy Policy which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You can view our full Privacy Policy at pawatics.com/privacy.
The Pawatics platform including its design, logos, software, and content is owned by Pawatics Inc and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without express written permission. The Pawatics name and logo are trademarks of Pawatics Inc.
Pawatics is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Pawatics does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. Pet care information provided through the platform including through Pawlee AI is for informational purposes only and does not constitute veterinary, medical, or professional advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your pet's health needs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pawatics and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. In no event shall Pawatics' total liability to you exceed the greater of one hundred dollars or the amount you paid to Pawatics in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pawatics and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses including legal fees arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party rights.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Pawatics shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration shall take place in Wilmington, Delaware. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. This arbitration clause does not apply to claims that may be brought in small claims court.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Pawatics Inc is incorporated in Delaware at 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808.
Pawatics reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or SMS at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms you must stop using the platform and delete your account.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting admin@pawatics.com. Pawatics may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination your pet profile data will be retained for 90 days and then deleted unless you request earlier deletion. Adoption records may be retained longer as required by applicable law.
